We have bulk graphite materials available for sale. Our inventory consists of rectangular and round stock in a wide variety of cross-sections and material grades. Our raw material inventory consist of both extruded graphite and iso-molded graphite products.

What is Graphite?

When we talk about graphite in most industrial applications we are discussing synthetic graphite. Synthetic graphite is the crystalline form of carbon. Synthetic graphite is a man made material that is extremely resistant to high temperatures and acidic or basic solutions. Graphite can be engineered to obtain specific properties such as density, electrical resistance, hardness, porosity, compressive strength, flexural strength, coefficient of thermal expansion and thermal conductivity.

Graphite Grades

The relatively large number of graphite grades available in today's market can cause confusion for the potential consumer in deciding which type of graphite and which graphite grade is appropriate for a specific use.

Fine Grain Graphite

The very fine structure of these graphite materials generally associated with high density allows them to produce a very precise machined details and very good surface finishes, while also reducing wear in many industrial applications.

Medium Grain Graphite

The structure of these materials are ideal for both roughing and finishing operations in many industrial applications. These materials are produced using a alternate manufacturing process which minimizes cost over the isostatic molding process.

Coarse Grain Graphite

There are many instances where a coarser grained graphite is desirable and adequate for an application. It can provide an economical solution for an ongoing consumable situation, where a lot of raw material is required.

Carbon Graphite

Many of our customers call searching for technical information or products described as carbon graphite. While this is an available material, more often than not our customers are actually are in need of either carbon or graphite.

Carbon Materials

Carbon materials have the benefits of high wear resistance and high strength, with limited machinability and are often brittle. This material is normally used in components with simple geometries.

Graphite Materials

Graphite materials have the benefits of high machinability which allows extremely complex components to be manufactured are reasonable cost. Graphite also has a much higher maximum operating temperature and is suitable for furnace hot zones and high temperature applications.
